Vet Training Days: Become an approved Respiratory Functional Grading Assessor of brachycephalic dogs

RESPIRATORY FUNCTION TEST FOR IMPROVED BREEDING
We are seeking vets who would like to become Respiratory Function Grading (RFG) Assessors of brachycephalic dogs. Training will be provided by Dr Arthur House, and by completing the program, you will receive RFG Assessor status with Dogs Australia.
RFG is a respiratory function test developed by Cambridge University in conjunction with the UK Kennel Club designed for vets to assess Bulldogs, and Pugs for Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS).
RFG provides an estimate of a dog’s respiratory function. With this information, vets are able to give guidance to breeders on potential breeding partners to reduce the chances of breeding puppies affected by BOAS and hopefully eradicate the disease. In conjunction with accurate assessment of a dogs presenting history, clinical signs, and anatomy, the RFG can be used to help clinical decision-making for dogs suffering from BOAS.
